This year, CERANEO participated in the organization of the 15th National Homeless Meeting in cooperation with Association MOST, Croatian Network for the Homeless and the Association of St. Jerome. As part of the National meeting, CERANEO representatives participated in the “Faces of Homelessness” conference on the Worlds Homeless Day, which took place on the 8th of October 2021 in Split. At the conference, CERANEO team presented the documentary movie “Undocumented” about the problem of homelessness in Croatia, especially homeless people according to the ETHOS typology of homelessness and housing exclusion.
Public awareness of the problem of homelessness is mostly limited to the most visible group of people without a roof over their head – the absolute homeless people. People in inadequate, illegal and unsafe housing conditions are still not perceived as homeless or at risk of homelessness.
In addition, on the 9th of October 2021 CERANEO representatives took part in an action of cleaning the beach in Kaštela, together with other members of the Network and the homeless people.
