The project will build the capacities of the organizations gathered in the Croatian network for the homeless in partnership with the Social Work Study Center of the Faculty of Law of the University of Zagreb for civil engagement of students in the local community. Service learning programs will be prepared and implemented at the Social Work Study Center through the courses “Methods of Analysis in Social Policy” and “Civil Society and Social Policy”. The target group is students, teaching staff of the Social Work Study Center of the Faculty of Law, civil society organizations, groups at risk of poverty and social exclusion, and volunteers.

  1. Build the capacities of the organizations gathered in the Croatian network for the homeless in partnership with the Social Work Study Center of the Faculty of Law in Zagreb for civil engagement of students in the local community.
  2. Prepare and implement service learning programs at the Social Work Study Center through the courses “Methods of Analysis in Social Policy” and “Civil Society and Social Policy”

  • Training of teachers and employees of civil society organizations for the application of teaching methods of service learning and evaluation of students’ work
  • Collection of domestic and foreign examples of good practice

  • Creation of mentoring programs and methodology for systematically organizing student engagement in civil society organizations
  • Introductory workshops in the model and implementation of service learning as part of the courses “Civil society and social policy” and “Methods of analysis in social policy”

  • Study trip of students to Rijeka
  • Study trip of students to the National Meeting on Homelessness in Šibenik
