PROJECT SUMMARY
Providing psychosocial support to the homeless and empowering professionals working with the homeless, profiling the practices and policies of care programs for the homeless at the local and national level according to examples of good practices of European trends.
SPECIFIC PROJECT AIMS
- To empower the homeless with the knowledge and skills needed to integrate into the community and provide support to professionals who work with the homeless
- Develop a methodology for collecting data on the number of homeless people in Croatia
- To make the public and key stakeholders at the local level aware of the issue of homelessness and the need to develop services for the homeless
- Collect comprehensive data on the state of homelessness based on the existing Homeless Database
PROJECT ACTIVITIES
- Project team meeting
- Preparation and organization of psychosocial support for the homeless
- Preparation and organization of support workshops for finding a job
- Preparation and organization of two-day support workshops for shelter managers and experts working with the homeless
- Preparation and organization of public forums on the topic of homelessness in cities that do not have care programs for the homeless (Vinkovci and Krapina)
- Monitoring and analysis of the Homeless Database
- Creation of a brochure based on monitoring and analysis in the Homeless Database
- Final conference of the project
- Dissemination of project results
The three-year program “Empowering the homeless, supporting experts and building innovative models of care for the homeless” is implemented with the financial support of the Ministry of Demography, Family, Youth and Social Policy.
